Writing
I am an award-winning author specialising in preschool and primary education. I have a proven track record of creating engaging and inclusive English language educational materials.
I have over 27 years of writing experience and have worked with most of the major publishers, including Oxford University Press, York Press, Cambridge University Press, Pearson, the BBC, and Ladybird.
Creating materials gives me pleasure and purpose. I put my all into any project I’m working on and enjoy the collaboration with editors and designers to achieve successful books that children love to learn with and appeal to their sense of humour and fun.
I enjoy working individually, with authoring teams, and frequently in a mother-daughter co-author partnership.

Recent preschool projects
Lead author on two three-level courses, from the initial concept to developing the scope for all levels and writing a wide range of the components.
Toy Team series
International adaptation of Archie’s World into American English for Oxford University Press. Writing of scope for all levels including numeracy syllabus, culture and festival pages. Versioning of students’ books 2 and 3 and with Julia Mena Dobson for level 1.
Forthcoming series for the Pan-Arab market
British English series. Concept and scope and development for all three levels. Authoring of student books, including numeracy and phonics, stories and songs, co-authored with Julia Mena Dobson. Writing of teacher’s guide level 1.
