About

I work as an ELT freelance writer, trainer and consultant.
Having started my career as a youth worker in inner city London, I moved to Spain to teach English and spent over thirty years at the chalkface as a teacher, trainer, writer and an IT Coordinator, before going freelance.
I taught ELT at all ages and levels, specialising in Preschool and Primary and in work advocating for the safe use of digital pedagogies. I’ve also enjoyed many opportunities to share my teaching experience in both my writing and training.
I place a high value on professional development and am qualified in the DELTA, Trinity Cert ICT, e-moderation and mobile learning, with courses in YYL and DEI. I frequently attend conferences, give talks and have volunteered for teacher associations, most recently as the technology and social media coordinator for MaWSIG (IATEFL’s materials and writers special interest group). I’m currently a member of IATEFL and the Society of Authors. A commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity and belonging is an essential part of my life and work values.
When I’m not at my desk, I enjoy dance and exercise classes, tending to the plants on my terrace, and catching up with episodes of the latest reality shows.
